We’ll also be unveiling our new Benchmark Box, popping up across the city this summer and fall to celebrate local neighborhoods and support local events and charities. About Woodford's Corner

Today, Woodford's Corner meets at the intersection of the Portland neighborhoods of Back Cove, Deering Center, and Oakdale. Although now part of Portland, it was part of the town of Falmouth until 1814, part of the town of Westbrook (then Saccarappa) until the area seceded to become the town of Deering in 1871, and then Portland when Deering was annexed by the City in 1899. For more on the history of Woodford's Corner, visit the Friends of Woodford's Corner page.
